Bosence Building Conservation have been repairing buildings, ruins and architectural ornament for over 18 years, completing many high profile jobs. During this time the principle consultant Ben Bosence has been providing advice and specialist knowledge for the repair of historic buildings, features and fabric.
Our approach - To be part of the design team on a conservation site, providing specialist advice on the repair of materials and features. - To preserve as much of the original fabric as possible, using ‘like for like’ materials and techniques. - Meticulous attention to preserving the detail and patina of materials and buildings. - Development of small batch production of materials for on-site conservation. - Using locally sourced materials and skills where possible. - Protection and use of traditional material sources, such as quarries and coppiced woodland.
We can provide Heritage Reports, Condition Surveys, Schedules of Repair, Design of Repair, and Material Testing. Bosence are also employed to produce surveys of fibrous plaster ceilings for Theatres and other public buildings.
